I have now officially made it to Sydney, and found a place to live in Bondi Beach which is sweet. Went to see Harvard Bass at the Chinese Laundry the day after I arrived, and if it's a litmus test of the Sydney nightlife, then I've got big expectations for things to come.

GIVE THEMs on May 27th with one of my personal heroes and our biggest headliner yet,
Drop The Lime, and then our last summer send-off on June 10th called GIVE THEM... SUNSHINE!
Luca Venezia aka. Drop The Lime aka. Curses! flew in from NYC and absolutely smashed Market Bar to pieces with his surefire blend of Trouble & Bass riddims. We were massively pleased to have him play at GIVE THEM!

Also played with Malente at Stealth VS Rescued on May 29th, and at the ever interesting and forward thinking Dot to Dot Festival on the Bank Holiday weekend of May 30th, spread across the biggest venues in Nottingham- Stealth, Rock City and the Bodega Social Club. The line-up included Mystery Jets, Zane Lowe, Jakwob and Ellie Goulding- as well as a never before seen dancefloor area created in the outdoor smoking area outside Rescue Rooms which proved so popular most of the other rooms in Stealth and the Rescue Rooms were virtually empty whilst it was on! A very cool night.
I'm now off on student exchange at the University of New South Wales in Sydney for 6 months- can't wait to explore the scene there which I've only heard good things about! Hopefully will get some DJing done there if I'm lucky...

Massive props to ONSITE SOUNDSYSTEM! I'm proud to say I'm resident DJ for a party rave crew who made it into April's issue of Mixmag in the feature article "RETURN TO RAVE" as only one of four promoters in the UK keeping real old-school rave spirit alive with their impromptu bass-tastic raves that they organise in fields, flash flood tunnels, subterranean caves and even lazer quest arenas in and around the city, as well as their involvement with other Midlands-based institutions such as the massive Atomic Jam parties in Birmingham where they've hosted rooms for the past two events in an old church. As I'm sure most Nottingham heads can testify to all of this is most definitely deserved praise.
Pick up this month's issue and take a look at the feature on page 60!

Got two new mixtapes! First up is a no-brainer/no-pretence party mixtape, 1hr 45 minutes of funky house, bassline, electro & dubstep; and second is a 30min teaser of groovy tech house to promote GIVE THEM NOISE.
On the night itself me, Plax & Elements Of Noise, the other resident DJs, had all recorded mixtapes and burnt them onto CD-R's and were selling them to raise money for the victims of the Haiti earthquake. We'll be doing the same for the next GIVE THEM in May so don't sleep on this one!

BOOM! Another successful Give Them night- this one was truly off the chainizzle. The name was GIVE THEM...NOISE and Boog-A-Loo Crew were setting the standard. The two boys have recently been taken under the wing of the You Can Call Me Pelski blog, helping to host their first club night at the Big Chill House in London where Rusko and Rustie were headlining. Apart from that they are also "just" residents for the massive Trouble Vision night in London, and have warmed up for pretty much everyone you will ever want to see do a DJ set, including Mowgli, Joker, Toddla T, Riva Starr, Andy George, Caspa, etcetc. Keep a keen pirate-y eye out for these guys in the future, they're destined for big things.
I also helped out the new "Dogma Presents" team do a little warmup set recently for Jack Beats with my good friend Chow- some serious sweaty basement vibes that night, was insane!
